We had an issue causing the fan for the FPGA to be at high voltage when the board was switched off and at a constantly decreasing voltage when switched on. I believe that it was the result of the leaving the board running for several minutes with the barrel plug making imperfect contact with the receptacle. We were still able to load bitstreams onto the board after this and have them work perfectly fine, but we decided that it was better to fix the problem rather than frying the FPGA. It was determined that a fault somewhere in one of the power supplies was to blame and we replaced the PS in question, which seemed to resolve the issue with the fan.
We are now faced with the problem that, while we can still load a bitstream onto the board, they do not function any longer and we are instead presented with the E2 error code on the LEDs. This is the same bistream that was functioning perfectly before the PS was replaced, so there has to be some other issue with the hardware that we're now overlooking. Just to be clear, we are not using WARPLab.
Another, unrelated issue prevents us from seeing the error output over UART and we're in the middle of fixing that right now, but can you think of anything that might be causing this problem?
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
