Posté le: Ven 4 Mai - 10:34 (2018) Sujet du message: Everyone agrees on heaven and hell, but what about purgatory
As far as I can tell, pretty much all of Christianity believes in Heaven and Hell, but I've recently become interested in some of the intermediary stages that people believe in. I'm talking about purgatory and limbo for the Catholics, paridise and hades (as waiting rooms for the second coming), "sleep" states (where you don't "wake up" until the final judgement), instantaneous arrival at the final judgement (via time skipping) and all the rest. There's even disagreement over whether there are levels to heaven and hell. Where did these ideas origionate from? Is there scripture to back them up? Were they borrowed from others when Christianity started spreading? Are any concidered to be heretical?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
